Customized Poly Foam Pigs

Foam pigs are a versatile type of pig designed for pipeline cleaning, scraping, and drying. These pigs are constructed with a flexible bullet-shaped polyurethane foam cylinder and a concave rear end to exert more pressure against the pipe wall. This tighter seal against the pipe wall prevents bypass of the propelling agent, eliminating product contamination.

At PIGS PIPELINE we offer a range of Poly Foam Pigs that can be customized to meet your specific needs. Our foam pigs come in different sizes, ranging from 2” to 100”, and are available in three densities of foam: low density (1½-2 lbs/cu.ft), medium density (5-7 lbs/cu.ft), and high density (8-10 lbs/cu.ft).

The density of the foam pig you choose will depend on the nature of your application. For longer runs with multiple turns and tough cleaning action, a high-density pig is preferable, while for drying and light cleaning operations, a low-density pig may be more appropriate. Our foam pigs can also be equipped with a variety of features to enhance their functionality, including non-ferrous brushes, stainless steel wire brushes, single spiral coatings, gauging facilities (with or without aluminum gauge plates), high-strength magnets for tracking, by-pass facilities (pluggable), polyurethane scraper blades, and extra-long or extra-short options for specific applications such as ball valve or launcher/receiver traps.
